Curriculum Vitae
“There and Back Again” was Bilbo Baggins‘ adventure in Middle-Earth. I also started my journey from Switzerland to the USA and back again. With a good foundation in film production, I started my professional life in the multimedia world. To be continued...
A long time ago in 1983
1983 was a significant year. It was all about the return of the Jedi. James Bond grabbed himself an Octopussy and never said never. As a one-man army, Rambo kept the police of a small town busy. And I saw the light of day in a small town called Zofingen.

The golden age of cinema
Over the next few years, I attended all mandatary schools in Switzerland while the golden age was in full swing in the cinema world. Indiana Jones was the raider of the lost ark. Aliens returned. A Terminator appeared, went and was back again. Forrest Gump discovered that life was like a box of chocolates (and you never knew what you gonna get). And in 1999 everyone was wondering what The Matrix was.

The eternal question...
I also asked myself what I should become. A raider of lost arks? Save the future from deadly cyborgs? Hack me into the matrix? The fascination for film was the answer to all questions. Just like Neo, I decided to take the red pill and see how deep the rabbit hole of the film world really went.
...and the missing answer
So I consulted the female oracle (in Switzerland they were called career counselors) and looked for the answer to how to become a film director. But she didn't know what to do. So I kept going to school.
Off to the USA...
I then worked at the Swiss Postal Services to finance my film studies in the USA. In 2006 I studied film production at Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) in Santa Barbara in sunny California. I learned a lot about cameras, lighting, sound, directing, screenwriting, acting, editing and animation. I produced many short films and animations, which won awards at various festivals and showcases.
...and back to Switzerland
Since my return to Switzerland in 2009, I have worked for various small and large companies. My curiosity constantly motivated me to learn new skills. I expanded my knowledge in conception, storytelling, film and video production, motion graphics, 2D and 3D animation, audio and sound design, social media, marketing, corporate communication, photography, and graphic design.
